Drove to Oldenburg to do a quick radio spot at Oldenburg Eins to promote our nighttime show. We did a brief interview and played "Second Skin" live.
Kate had to grab a spare capo, so we stopped by the local music store. Have you ever seen a bass recorder? We did. We had a couple hours to kill, so we walked around the town square.
Got to the venue, Litfaß Oldenburg, a little early, met with Kay and he showed us his place. It was a big bar/restaurant with several rooms, including a game room and outdoor patio. Kay had planned for us to play outside, but there was a storm rolling in, so we set up on the stage inside and sat down for dinner. Their specialty was burgers and they were no joke.
The room filled up quickly. Although the audience was reserved during the first set, they really loosened up by the second one and even started making a little noise. A group of guys in the back corner was particularly enthusiastic and we stayed to have a drink with them and talk music & politics.
